Notes
These bursaries are to enable newer or more junior members to attend a BAHT accredited Level I course. Applications will be judged anonymously and independently by members of the BAHT executive committee. The award is made to the applicant with the highest average score.
1. Bursary applications can be made prior to the course or up to 3 months afterwards. Funding can be put towards course fees, reasonable travel or subsistence costs.
2. Please note: applicants will not receive funds until after the course or conference, when the post course/conference report has been received.
3. Applications are welcome from previous winners. Applications which are late, do not meet the required word count or the application criteria will not be judged.
4. The number of bursaries available may vary annually and may not always be awarded.
5. If an award has not been made in a particular funding round it may be rolled over to the next deadline.
6. The decision of the judging panel is final. BAHT will not enter into a further correspondence with the applicant. Unsuccessful applicants can resubmit an amended application for the next deadline.
7. Course places need to be secured by the applicant; BAHT will not arrange places.
8. The marking panel reserves the right to determine the level of the award – this may not be the full value of the bursary or the amount applied for.
9. You will be contacted to inform you of the result of your application. If you have been successful, you will receive a bursary agreement letter and should sign this, stating that you agree with the terms and conditions of a successful application. This must be submitted via the BAHT website.
10. On completion of your course you should submit your post course/conference report within one month. The bursary report will be reviewed and posted on the BAHT website.
11. You will be provided with an expenses form and must return this with a receipt to the BAHT treasurer. The course fees will then be reimbursed to you.
12. If the applicant fails to meet the agreed terms and conditions of the award, BAHT will request reimbursement of the money awarded.
